My Grandpa

There are about a million stories that I could write about on here but every time I think about what I want to say it doesnt seem to describe how much I loved him and what a huge part of my life he was. I was lucky enough to live my entire childhood a mile away from him and my grandma. I rode my bike up the road more times that I could begin to count and everytime I got there it was nothing but wonderful. He would always offer me a bite of his "candy"....Red Man Chew and I would always want to try it but he would laugh and trade out something else instead. He had a way of making that stuff look so so very good!

I loved to ride in the blue Ford with him and got excited on the nights he would hand out his lotto cards for us to all help check the numbers. We just knew that it would be our lucky night and always talked about what we would do with our fortunes!  He usually slipped me a five dollar bill and told me to go buy something good with it after we lost!  I adored the times I spent the night and we would sit up right before bed and eat snacks...his was usually and onion and buttermilk. He was a wonderful grandpa, made me always feel so loved with his bear hugs, I am so lucky to be his granddaugher. I hope he always knew how much he meant to all of us, what a huge impact he made in our lives. He was one of a kind and anyone who was lucky enough to be a part of his life knows exactly what I mean.
